The car coat dates back to the 1900’s when driving was a particularly outdoor pursuit where there was a requirement for a lightweight, yet warm garment. This piece offers exactly that, unrivalled levels of flexibility in a protective, warm and lightweight piece exquisitely crafted in the heart of Italy. We have carefully selected a Loro Piana cloth from their Cashmere Wish collection which combines cashmere and Merino wool. The finest ultra-fine Merino wool (15.5 microns) is fused with Loro Piana’s finest Grade A cashmere to produce a SUPER 170’s fabric with a warm, lightweight and compact feel. Designed to be worn over a suit or just for added flexibility the coat is unlined with a very lightweight feel, ideal for the always moving man. The intricately tailored piece features a buttoned front with cover, side slip pockets, internal slip pockets, adjustable cuffs and hidden hood.
