Cashmere

Cashmere Size Guide

The sizing of our Cashmere Sweaters and Cardigans refers to a Gentleman's chest measurement. Our garments are designed to give a comfortable 'Classic' fit with approximately 4 inches of additional space over the chest area.


Therefore, we advise ordering the comparative size to your own chest measurement. The measurement should be taken just under the arms and closely around the body. For instance, if your chest measures 44 inches (112cm) we would advise ordering a size 44 Cashmere Sweater. You will find that this measures 48" giving you the previously mentioned extra room for comfort.


If you prefer a more fitted garment we recommend that you order a size smaller than your chest measurement to suit your preference.


If you wish to place an order but are unsure of your size, why not measure your favourite sweater? Lay it flat and measure across the chest from armpit to armpit. Please do not hesitate to contact us should you require any further clarification on sizing before placing an order.

Shirts

In order to find your ideal shirt size, we would recommend that you lay your favourite shirt on the floor and compare to the size guide provided. Please note that the measurements listed are for the shirt and not body measurements. For Eton shirts start from the collar size and then narrow your search down to preferred fit.


How to Measure Shirts

Step One: Measure the Neck

Lay the shirt on the floor open and lay the collar flat. Using a measuring tape measure straight from the button to the end of the buttonhole. Make a note of measurements.

Step Two: Measure the Chest

Next fasten the buttons and measure 1cm under the armhole. From there measure from side to side. Double the measurement taken and this will be the chest size.

Step Three: Measure the Waist

With the buttons still fastened, measure the slimmest part of the shirt (waist) from side to side and double this measurement.

Step Four: Measure the Length

To find the length of the shirt, measure from the centre all the way to the end of the hem.

Step Five: Measure the Sleeves

Finally measure the sleeves. Start by measuring from the centre back to the shoulder seam. Next measure from the shoulder seam to the end of the cuff and combine these too measurements.

Crockett and Jones Shoes are available in an array of different lasts. Below you will find a selection of the most common C&J shoe lasts available in store and online at Robert Old.


Crockett & Jones Last Guide

  • LAST 325 – Feeling true to size, with a medium round toe and increased toe depth. Styles include the Coniston, Pembroke and the Cavendish.
  • LAST 335 – Fit feels true to size and features a broad round toe with increased toe depth. Styles include the Skye 3 and the Chelsea 5.
  • LAST 337 – Fit is similar to 348 and is finished with a soft square toe. Styles include the Audley and the Belgrave.
  • LAST 348 – Finished with a square toe, the wearer may find that they have an inch of space at the front of the toe box. This is for aesthetics and will not have an effect on the heel to ball fitting. Styles include the Hallam, Lowndes and the Westbourne.
  • LAST 373 – This is a hand-grade last with a sharp chisel toe. The fit is a more generous version of the 348 last shown above. Styles include the Fairford and the Weymouth 2.

The 620 regular straight leg fit guarantees comfort for every occasion making it a go to everyday denim style.


The 622 fit is a slim fit tapered Jean that gives the opportunity show off your physique, whilst not being skin tight they do narrow from the lower calf down to your ankles so you can show off your shoes.
