The Robert Old denim blue diamond quilted coat perfectly combines a premium and luxurious material into a practical everyday coat. Spanning back six generations Loro Piana have been at the forefront of the luxury textiles industry, always striving for excellence. This coat features their blend of wool and silk in a sophisticated denim blue, complete with practical Loro Piana Green Storm System technology. This system consists of a bio-based membrane behind the fabric which is ultra-fine, soft and breathable. It is a pioneering achievement from Loro Piana which converts what was typically an unsustainable practice into an eco-friendly option with the membrane created from 50% renewable plant-based resources. The front of the fabric is also coated in a Rain System layer which is a treatment that further protects the material and contains more than 60% of components from plant-based sources. These treatments provide the coat with water resistance and wind protection. To complete the coat there are snap-button side pockets, interior pockets, high collar with strap. It also features a central two-way zip that is enclosed by a button cover with buttons constructed from sustainable ‘vegetable ivory’. The coat is constructed to be a regular fit and mid-length with a hint of space to ensure a suit or extra layering can be worn underneath.
